After working on numerous brochure projects for renowned Suffolk Agency, Jacob Bailey, I was both proud and nervous when they asked if I could write the copy for Countryside’s Greenwich Millennium Village 20th Anniversary book.
Undaunted, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work, reading, researching and soaking up all the information available about this groundbreaking development – the first of its kind on the Greenwich Peninsula.

Just a short walk from the iconic O2 Dome, the development site was steeped in history dating back to the Victorian industrial area. I enjoyed delving in to how the land had been used over the years, with GMV marking a new paradigm in the area (and internationally) as a beacon on sustainability.

Interview transcripts with Countryside’s staff, GMV’s customer care team and the residents themselves provided a wealth of material to draw from – industry insights and personal stories revealed the passion for the project and the affection in which is it now held by everyone involved.

Being involved in such a landmark project was both an honour and a joy. I love immersing myself in Greenwich Millennium Village’s story, its amazing environment and the potential for the future of the community.
